  2. Just from the Wackowskis' comments on twitter, politicizing the "red pilled" concept, claiming it's "about being trans", we know Matrix 4 will suck. Being trans has nothing to do with waking up to reality from being imprisoned in an oppressive dream world. It fact, it''s the opposite. It's waking up from reality into a liberating dream world.

  6. The original was actually going to have the character Switch be a man in the real world and a woman in the matrix. Which would add to the theme that if your philosophy was living a happy life, the matrix could be better than the real world. But it would undermine the whole movie to make "the matrix is a liberator" its conclusion.

  9. Paul Feig and these ladies wanted to prove Christopher Hitchens correct, that women aren't funny. I'll count Feig, as he's a self-hating man. This scene breaks one of rules of comedy. It's no longer funny if you tell the audience what their supposed to be thinking. Ramis and Murry didn't say the pack sounded menacing, that would have ruined the scene.

  19. I never even bothered to watch any Star Wars movie after Force Awakens. After seeing, in clips, what they did to Luke and a scene with Yoda burning books, I had zero interest in seeing it. It's also a perverse way to view culture and society; that all the classics and classical values need to be destroyed. A culture of Philistine socialists.

  20.  @seantaggart7382  I quit star wars after the Force Awakens, which was just a retread of the first movie. They actually succeeded in making the terrible prequels actually not so bad by comparison. They are bad movies but they didn't destroy the mythology.

  22. I've only tried to watch Picard once. I didn't get into it. And the episode literally had a scene where some character from the future stopped a Homeland Security Bus and let out all the Mexicans. What an absurd thing to put in a Star Trek show. For all he knew they could be being deported or under arrest for being child traffickers.

  24. "Cold Fusion" is a name for a controversial theory that one can get nuclear reactions using complicated chemistry of ions of certain isotopes. It has nothing to do with freezing something as this movie thinks.

  42. Regardless, just cgi is not impressive. For example, Terminator 2, made in 1991, was very sparing and used practical effects, so it avoided the uncanny valley effect. People can do cgi today with home computers. It's just not impressive.

But I'm too distracted to enjoy it." Imaging being such a little shit that you would enjoy seeing someone get framed. We did see rich white men get framed in the Duke rape hoax, and numerous other times.
