  2. There isn't such a thing as an "assault weapon". An "assault rifle" is a military term for a select fire rifle that fires an intermedia power cartridge. But they couldn't use that term because the rifles they want to ban are semi-auto.

  3. The reports on the guns are always comical. First, there's no such thing as an "assault weapon". It was a semi-auto pistol. It's not "high powered". It fires a 9mm pistol cartridge. That's much less powerful than a rifle.

  6.  @BWolf00  A 9mm is just a typical pistol round. The media would always try to portray an AR-15 as super powerful, when it's weaker than the typical deer rifle. But now everything is "high powered".

  7. Apparently this was a semi-auto only Mac-10. In most states you can buy anything that's not full-auto. Why are suppressors supposed to be naughty? They slow down the bullets. It's the same as putting a muffler on your car.

  9.  @abefroman4953  That's the thing about gun control in the US. In countries with a less free constitution, eg Australia, they just ban everything. In America they ban things pointlessly. Like it's going to matter what kind of 9mm pistol the shooter has. All a suppressor does is slow down the bullet and make a 9mm sound like a 22.

  10.  @abefroman4953  I think France and some other countries are modeled on rights from man. That means that government provides the rights. In American the government is supposed to defend those rights.
