  3.  @pouglwaw5932  It belongs to whoever can go there. As far as I know only the US is currently building a rocket capable of sending astronauts there. Militarizing the Moon isn't a serious threat. It's 240,000 miles from the nearest person. Only the US has sent astronauts there, because of the cost. The Apollo program cost 150 billion (inflation adjusted) to put 12 astronauts on the surface and bring back 850 lbs of rocks. The USSR canceled their program after its rocket blew up 4 times.
