@cdr3986 This isn't a lawsuit it's a criminal trial. In the US the prosecution has to prove "beyond a reasonable doubt" that the defendant is guilty. But this isn't a serious trial. This is a political stunt by desperate Democrats. They're convict. And then on appeal it will be overturned and Alvin Bragg's career will be over.

Yep. Gag orders are normally to protect the jury from being biased against the defendant. The jurors are already sworn to stay off of social media. The judge is doing this solely to gag Trump.

I hope these deranged Democrats do jail Trump. It will be all over the international press, that in the US the regime is jailing its opposition with kangaroo courts. The State Department constantly talks down to other countries about democracy, fair elections, etc. The Democrats will never live down their embarrassment.

@jake-ch5tu That's not true. Trump didn't even keep the books. It was a private record, so how was he covering it up? AND, what was he covering up? NDA's are NOT illegal.

@ILUVJTN1 It's charged with falsifying business records to cover up criminal activity. But they haven't proved that any business records are false. Nor have they proved that he committed a crime. The prosecution is implying that he committed some campaign finance crime, but that is not specified in the indictment. The 6th amendment requires that a defendant know what crimes they are accused of.

@cdr3986 "There are 34 criminal counts." The criminal counts are "falsifying business records to cover up a crime" But the prosecution has not specified a crime. First, you can't prove someone falsified business records to cover up a crime, if you don't prove there is a crime. Second, this is unconstitutional. The 6th Amendment requires that the defendant be informed precisely what he is accused of. And, each "criminal count" is a retainer check Trump paid Cohen. It is artificially split into 34, because this isn't a legitimate case, but a political attack. Finally, thanks for supporting this kangaroo court, which will sink the Democrats.

It has been 3 weeks of prosecution testimony and they have no specified what the crime Trump was supposedly covering up is. (That's a violation of the 6th Amendment) They haven't even proved Trump falsified documents. Do you realize Trump didn't keep the book. And listing a legal expense as a "legal expense" is not a falsification. You really think this non-sense is going to turn Biden's flailing campaign around. He's losing in every swing state. And he's not even fit to campaign. BTW. I recently came out the Jack Smith and the FBI tampered with evidence in the Documents case. So Jack Smith is going to be on trial in that court, with the Trump case on indefinite hold. You people embarrass yourselves.

@cdr3986 Why do you keep saying "guaranteeing Biden's election". This is backfiring. Again, it has been 3 weeks of prosecution testimony, and the crime still hasn't been even specified. There are already at least 3 things that make this a mistrial. No specified underlying crime, 2 pathological liars as prosecution witnesses, Long testimony by Daniels on irrelevancies. (The tactic of having a witness smear the defendant on things not related to the charge is grounds for a mistrial.)

@cdr3986 You are so out of touch. This lawfare is going so badly, that the judge in the "documents case" indefinitely suspended the trial. Because Jack Smith admitted to evidence tampering. The FBI brought official classification folders saying "top secret" etc. And they put Trump's records inside their folders. The next hearing is going to over Jack Smith. That's the thing about breaking all norms, using the justice system for politics, rather than law. Eventually you go down from your own corruption.
