There is literally no way Bragg can prosecute this case. The statute of limitations expired 2 years ago. Bragg is charging it as a felony, using a federal charge that was never brought, and he has no authority to prosecute federal charges. Cohen's lawyer, Robert J. Costello, testified that Cohen is a liar and Trump had nothing to do with the payment. Robert J. Costello sent a signed letter to the FEC stating that "Cohen is a liar" and "Trump had nothing to do with the payment". So Bragg is just planning on ignoring all the rights of the accused? If a Manhattan judge goes along with it, a higher court will intervene.
