  2.  @diegojines-us9pc  Nobody is disputing that Cohen paid Daniels $130,000, or that Trump paid Cohen checks. Cohen was working as Trump's attorney, he was paid retainer fees. None of that is illegal nor in dispute.

  3.  @diegojines-us9pc  No. It's not. People knew about the $130,000 payment to Daniels from Cohen back in 2018, when the feds looked into this. The payments to Cohen are attorney fee checks which are also known since 2018. The farce is that the prosecution intends to turn that into something illegal, NDA's are NOT illegal. Daniels even owes Trump $670,000 in legal judgements. To make the charges a crime, the prosecution has to show that Trump's records are falsified, and that it was done to cover up a crime. The farce is that there is no crime.

  4.  @catherina2611  That has been common knowledge since 2018. Cohen paid the broad. And Trump paid Cohen. All the checks that Trump paid Cohen were attorney retainer checks, i.e. legal expenses. The FEC ruled in 2018 that it wasn't a campaign expense. You people are so desperate. Trump didn't even keep the books. It as some employee. And if it was recorded as "campaign expense" you'd be trying to prosecute him for that. But according to the FEC it wasn't a campaign expense. All these masturbatory lawfare cases are falling apart. Jack Smith is actually in trouble in the documents case, because he submitted tampered evidence to the court. So that one's not going anywhere. This one is not even a coherent charge. It's two separate allegations, which aren't crimes, stapled together to try to make a crime.

  7.  @locadisa  Could be. That standard for credibility on the stand is whether they are a known liar, or have other motives to lies. Eg. Cohen lied during his criminal trial, he lied in the congressional hearing, and he was convicted of lying to banks. His former lawyer says his entire story is a lie. His former counsel Costtelo says he made the Stormy payment all on his own. He was desperate to impress Trump because he really really wanted to get a job in the Trump WH. Costello says, "when he didn't get a job in Trump's WH, he was suicidal." He actual thought he could be AG. Then soon he was facing trial, and was suicidal because "There is no way I will spend a day in jail!!!" So Costello advised him to divulge anything he has on Trump to appease the prosecution. Cohen, "I have nothing on Trump." Now he just has pure bitterness at Trump. So you have a story, from someone who is not a perjurer, a non-disbarred lawyer, that cancels out Cohen's entire story.

  8.  @catherina2611  Trump was paying Cohen legal fees. The entire written evidence are the monthly retainer checks Trump paid Cohen. Retainer check = legal expense. Trump even insisted that Cohen pay with check. That sounds like someone who is trying to "falsify records"? This case is totally fake.

  9. A convicted liar and perjurer is never a "smoking gun". In fact, if this were a real trial and no a political clown show, it would be grossly inappropriate to put him on the stand.
