According to the Democrats, he should have put "campaign expense" in the ledger. But if he had put "campaign expense" in the ledger, they would have prosecuted him for not putting "legal expense".

@tinachilders3541 That's the joke. If Trump had reported it as a campaign expense, you pricks would be prosecuting him for not reporting it as a legal expense. Try stepping back a second, and realizing what you are. The FEC standards for a campaign expense is something that the candidate wouldn't normally spend money on for other reasons. Making everything a campaign expense encourages election grifting.

@denisemiller1787 This is break with the process, just so the desperate Democrats can go after Trump. The FEC decides what is and isn't a campaign expense. When they decide something is in error, e.g. Clinton's payment for the Steele Dossier. They fine the campaign. The Obama campaign payed a fine for not reporting millions in contributions. The FEC concluded that the payments to Cohen were NOT campaign expenses.
