@di3dsudd3nly There wasn't even an insurrection. It's defined as "Insurrection against the Constitution". Using the constitutional process to attempt to overturn a vote is NOT and insurrection against the constitution; it's applying the constitution.

The Court tends to side on not rocking the boat politically. So I'm pretty sure the Court will side against the Democrats sabotaging the Republic with their silly nonsense. The 14th Amendment, and other reconstruction amendments, were passed to prevent states from going rogue. In 1860 candidates were kept off of state ballots--Lincoln in the South and Democrats in some Northern states.

@di3dsudd3nly This is how the leftists twist everything. It was an (attempted) insurrection against the the Biden win certification. But that IS NOT an insurrection as far as the Constitution is concerned. It says in the 14th "insurrection against the Constitution". Trump thought he was upholding the Constitution. You can argue he was wrong, but it wasn't an insurrection against the Constitution.

@DeepDishNews There has to be a process. Trying to overturn an election that you think is fraudulent is NOT insurrection. It's applying the Constitution. This is typical Democrat/uniparty grasping at straws. The clause was intended for those who fought for or worked for the Confederacy. There were records, proving that. This is an attempt to apply a BS msnbc media narrative.

@larryfranklin Is that supposed to be a counter argument. Some nitwit Democrats on the CO court parroted Rachel Maddow. A similar doofus judge in NY "ruled" that Mar-a-Lago was worth just 15 million, when a neighboring vacant lot sold for 50 million. It's a serious problem in the country.
