  2.  @MK-su6eg  It's a formal title (documents might have "Dr"), but people don't address one another by "Doctor", because that's obviously pompous. Jill Biden does it because she's insecure.

  4.  @MK-su6eg  Medical doctors are called "doctor" because it's the job title, not because of the MD. What Jill Biden does is cheesy, demanding that others address you as "doctor". On publications, books, journal articles, it has your name and institution affiliation, but it doesn't say Dr David Duke, or Dr Josef Goebbels, or Dr. Jill Biden. Those people do it because they're pompous.
