  1. It doesn't need a defense. All Trump said was to look into possible corruption--nothing wrong with that. What's most interesting about this are the extreme double standards. In 2016 the FBI was directed, by the Obama administration and Clinton campaign, to investigate the Trump campaign. Now the Dems and media are freaking out that Trump might be doing the same. It's appropriate if it is properly predicated, such as Biden on video bragging about a quid pro quo or FBI plants stalking Trump campaign employees.

In this "scandals", the Democrats always have to change what was said and add things. For example, Schiff just made up a conversation between Trump and the Ukraine Pres. One reason the Democrats are so hot under the collar about this, is because Barr has an ongoing investigation into whether the Russia investigations were appropriate, or the "insurance policy" of pissed of Clinton supporters. We know FBI plants were stalking some of Trump's campaign people. They also solicited dirt on Trump from the Ukrainian gov.--not illegal, but the Dems spent over 2 years pretending that it's a crime.
