This bill is like trying to put out a fire by pouring gasoline on it. It was the two big spending bills in 2021 which caused inflation.

The bill has tax increases in it.

@UnrelatedAntonym Raising corporate taxes during a recession is boneheaded stupid. Companies just pass that onto employees and consumers.
3
@UnrelatedAntonym It's not on the rich. It's corporate taxes, to be paid by the employees.

LOL The last large porkbarrel spending bills in 2021 caused 9.5% inflation. Doing the same thing again is stupid. Duh.

@Kyle-yo4yy Government spending caused the inflation. Inflation is caused by a high supply of cash chasing a shortage of good. Inflation was caused by 1. Supply chain shortages in early 2021. 2. The covid relief spending. People had spending money, but there was a shortage of good. Thus inflation.

@Abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0000 A tax hike isn't forcing "companies to play by the rules". It's changing the rules. If you raise corporate taxes, they'll lay off employees or cut wages. We're in a recession after just one year of Biden because Democrats don't know how money works.

@UnrelatedAntonym Again, you don't know how money and economics works. Corporations have a fiscal duty to their shareholders, and employees, to increase profits and lower costs. You're blaming them for behaving responsibly. When you pay your taxes, you take every credit and exemption. Only an idiot would just donate voluntarily to the IRS. Nobody does that. It's just something selfish losers say you should do, but then they don't do it. BTW. What are communists doing watching Fox news?

@Mawyou And it's common knowledge to anyone who knows anything about economics that you don't raise taxes in a recession, especially corporate taxes.

@orangemonster61 LOL A 400 billion spending bill is "deficit reducing"? The last 2 spending bills in 2021 caused 9.5% inflation, and now a recession. This will just make it worse.
1
@orangemonster61 Two consecutive quarters of negative growth is a recession. The covid lockdowns and Democrat boosted unemployment benefits caused people to retire early. The labor participation is low.
