So before 1978 and the Presidential Records Act, all of the documents would be Trump's personal property. Nobody would have any claim to them, whatsoever. The only thing that changed that was the P.R.A., but this indictment has no mention of the P.R.A.

I never even thought I would ever see this happen. If a president is going to have their DOJ prosecute their main political challenger (Trump is almost certain to win the GOP nomination), they have to have a reason so strong, that they are essentially being forced to. But this is the opposite. They were determined to indict Trump, so they cooked up a case. A case on presidential records, that nowhere mentions the Pres. Records Act.
