They can't help themselves. The other mistake they're making, is in thinking that the public views this as a normal legitimate case. No responsible prosecutor would bring such a case in normal circumstances. This is a desperate attempt to take his presidential campaign.

It's a crooked case when the defense has to state that things are not illegal. In a normal case the charges are not creative, and vague like here.

@giovannifontana4068 The NPCs think it's a "legitimate case" for the same reason they thought the Russia Hoax was a real scandal. You're one of them, that's why you think this is legitimate. It's a manufactured charge which is unconstitutional. He charged with falsifying business records to cover up a crime. But there is no crime. As part of the scam the prosecution mentions things which are not illegal and things that didn't happen. Eg. the FEC ruled that the payments to Cohen were not campaign expenses. So Trump's book keeping is 100% accurate.

@giovannifontana4068 This case is analogous to say, Manhattan DA, Bragg, prosecuting you for tax evasion, without saying what income you didn't pay taxes on, and he doing this because his party hates your politics. There are already 3 huge problems with that that make it illegitimate. And these clowns broke a 250 year precedent to bring this kangaroo case.
