I think lawyers would advise the defendant not to testify in a case like this. He doesn't even know what he's defending against. The prosecution witness have lied so many times, who knows what the facts are. It's not clear what the crime is supposed to be.

A normal trial proceeds by first the prosecution making their case, then the defense poke holes in their evidence. In this clown trial there is no clear charges, and the prosecution witnesses just ramble nonsense. Eg. Daniels went on and on about how it was sexual harassment, a me-too case. But she was on Bill Maher's show in 2018 saying emphatically that it was not harassment or a me-too case.

@brandonmonroe7050 LOL Because "he said he would", is not a reason to. It's not a one on one situation. In the American legal system, the prosecution has to prove their case, "beyond a reasonable doubt". It's not on the defense to prove their innocence, like Latin American Napoleonic Code.

@brandonmonroe7050 Is that supposed to be a joke? From someone who unironicly listens to corporate media, Michael Cohen, Micheal Avanati and Stormy Daniels. The only reason the Democrats are supporting this (and embarrassing themselves doing it) is out of a collective group think compulsion to oppose Trump, by any means.

Cohen is doing this in a desperate attempt to prevent Trump from winning in November, because congress has referred him to the DOJ for lying 6 times in Congress. A Trump AG will more likely act on that.
