Comments by "" (@charlesvan13) on "Republicans Cry About 'Groomers' As Their Party Votes To Legalize Child Marriages" video.
This fake story is attempted payback for the FL law. But it's not going to work. First, it's a lie. Second, the FL law bans sex ed lessons in K-3; the majority of Democrats support that.

@brianwall9592 The FL is actually kind of a troll of the left. They wrote a very innocuous law, that they knew the left of the Dem party would freak out about. It's about sex ed in K-3. The FL actually doesn't mention LGBT. It just says that gender and sexual orientation can't be taught as a class discussion in K-3. Most people think middle school is a more appropriate time for that.

This is a blatant lie. The TN legislation does, nor never, invalidated previous laws giving minimum age of 17 for marriage.

Except it's not true. This guy is desperately lying. The minimum age for marriage in TN is 17, and this bill would not change that.
1
@williethomas5116 That's a lie. This is a coordinated Democrats narrative, to counter the "groomer" insult that hurting you guys so badly. My previous comments explain that this has no effect, nor ever would, on the age limits.
1
@williethomas5116 The Groomer insult is already hurting you. The FL law which lead to it has bipartisan support.

@jamessalisbury5419 This lie was debunked so long ago. Nobody intended to change the age restrictions on marriage. Democrats saw an opportunity for a fake narrative because they didn't put the age restriction in the amendment, so they started autistic screeching. The age limits weren't going to be effected by the bill. The GOP added the age restrictions to the bill just to shut them up. But that didn't stop the Dem from lying about it.
1
Um...this guy made up an accusation. The TN law didn't lower the age requirement for marriage. There are other laws which set it at 17 minimum.
1
@tvdinner325 This is fake news. This is an amendment of the TN marriage statute. It never removed the age restriction. "The proposed legislation would not eliminate or overwrite Tennessee’s marital age limits. Current Tennessee law sets a minimum marriage age at 17, and prohibits a 17-year-old from marrying someone who is four or more years older." --The Tennessean.

@tvdinner325 This is the Democrat attempt at responding to the "groomer" label with "No. You". It's not going to work because leftists get infuriated when told not to indoctrinate children. While this is just a smear; it's not about anything.
1
@katyja8812 No. There's no intent for child brides. They just didn't put the age restriction in the the bill. The minimum age for existing laws still holds.
1
It's one thing to spin something in your favor. But this isn't even that. This guy is outright lying. The bill in TN never would have lowered the age of marriage.
1
This is a lie. The minimum age was not changed by this bill. It's set in law at 17.
1
@dominicfucinari1942 This bill never nullified other laws. If it passed as written, the minimum age would still be 17.

@dominicfucinari1942 "The proposed legislation would not eliminate or overwrite Tennessee’s marital age limits. Current Tennessee law sets a minimum marriage age at 17, and prohibits a 17-year-old from marrying someone who is four or more years older." This is a desperate lie to counter the FL law narrative. Guys like Cousins are furious at being called a groomer.
1
@shane3214 It's not even whataboutism. It's a lie. The bill in TN would not change the minimum age for marriage. It's set by other laws at 17.
1
@dominicfucinari1942 That's off topic. This video is based on a lie. The bill never lowered the minimum age. BTW. What would Cenk Uygur have you think that sex with animals needs to be legalized?
1
@dominicfucinari1942 He said it should be legal in an old video. It came up when he ran for congress. Then Sanders dropped his endorsement.
