Not true. It was illegal for Biden to take them out of the SCIF. Trump had the power to declassify anything. There's also a SCIF at Mar-a-Lago.

@rl7430 The Supreme Court has ruled that just by taking them (or telling about them in a conversation) amounts to declassification for the president. The whole Trump document scandal is based on misinformation from Democrat partisans. The SC has ruled that the power of document classification originates with the president.

No. This is legally much worse. The president has the universal power to declassify. The VP does not.

Garland appointed a special prosecutor. This is legally worse. The vice president has no document declassification powers. Trump had declassification powers. So it was essentially just over document storage. The Archives does not have an ultimate authority over document classification, the president does.
