@conors4430 There are no religious groups in the US that have anything near absolute dominance. So they didn't come to America for that.

"could create a competitive country" No. The indian wars lasted for a century. Some tribes won some battles, but they lost every war. Only a couple tribes had a written language. And none even developed the wheel.

Christianity is definitely not the dominating ideology in politics. Even leftwing social ideologies, "woke" or cultural Marxism, is much more influential and suffocating. For example, you never get banned from social media platforms by Christians, but by leftwing ideologues running those platforms.

This is an exaggeration. Where I grew up in America most people weren't religious.

@theendisthebeginningistheend Well.. I'm working in another country with fewer atheists than America. So this is a faulty analysis, that you typically get from Europeans, who view things through a different cultural lens.

@theendisthebeginningistheend This whole analysis is off. The US isn''t "so Christian". The US is 74% Christian (both protestant and catho) Rest other religions and non-religious. Mexico is 88% Christian (both cath. and prot.)

@SpaceMarine500 They were brave. But they lacked technology. So they lost every war, of the Indian wars which lasted until the end of the 19th century as the US population moved west.
