Jeff Panetta Most people saw that Strzok had absolutely no defense for his behavior. Notice how after each question he went off on irrelevant platitudes. The Democrats were just trying to delay and obstruct.

What we saw was extreme desperation. The Dems thought they had "magic bullets" with the Russia-investigation and Stormy Daniels. These were silly to begin with, but now their narratives have completely fallen apart. They were even calling Trump a Putin puppet, after he dressed down Nato representatives for their gas deal with Russia! Their narratives don't match reality, and the average voter knows it.

Strozk didn't even know that he had the right to defer to his counsel, but not the FBI's counsel.
4
I used to vote Democrat. But now they are just these childish liars, with no principles.
4
James Ryan Why are all the Strzok supporters copying and pasting their angry comments? It's sheer desperation.
4
This was a serious loss for the Democrats. Strzok had no defense, so he and the Democrats just used evasive tactics: stall, dodge the question, and "Chewbacca" defense.

Julian Dream on. Mueller wouldn't be sitting on damning evidence with how much fire his investigation is under for corruption. It's like saying that OJ was keeping the identities of the "real killers" secret.
3
phonenixliv LOL So the FBI counsels it's employees who are legitimately accused of corruption. Yeah, that's great.
3
Naftul It's a problem because we don't want government bureaucracies covering up corruption. It's not a mafia, it's a government agency, which should care about it's reputation, and is subject to oversight. Trump fired the head of the EPA for corruption. You think he shouldn't have done that?

Danny B So what? Stzok also didn't eat a baby. He's guilty of running politically biased investigations in the FBI. Besides contempt of Congress, or perjury, he has likely committed no crime. But he's in serious trouble is he wants to keep his job.
3
Julian That's not my point. We know Mueller has nothing, because his investigation has been on ethical thin ice for many months. Know one would sit on evidence in that situation; his reputation is at stake. The 13 indictments for internet trolling, of Russians who Mueller thought would never appear in court. Yeah...real impressive. One of the Russian firms did plead "innocent" and Mueller wasn't prepared to prosecute the case, so he requested a postponement. I'm honestly surprised that you guys are continuing with this. The longer you push a lie the more ridiculous you'll look in the end. The tactful thing to do is to back away, and move on to other issues. Just this week Trump berated Nato and Germany in particular for a gas deal with Putin. But he's Putin's puppet when he stands up to Russia, unlike the last president? WTF?

Julia Well...we know that the Russia probe was based on paid partisan research, whose source was Russian secret service, which was never verified, it had Clinton supporting partisans working on it (Stzok was kicked off it for bias); we know that that DOJ and FBI employees lied to get FISA warrants And there has been no evidence of "Russia-collusion". And the Russia campaign "interference" was the Russian government spending 150k for Facebook ads, most of which appeared after the election, and supported various candidates and causes. In other words, the Russian government spent a tiny amount on internet trolling (which of course isn't illegal) and is only having an effect because the loser Democrats are hysterical. But I'm sure Mueller has the smoking gun, even though revealing it would save his reputation which is in the tank.

Eric Isaa, exactly. The Democrat party has destroyed itself. They're not on the side of the American people. When they're not race bating, all they do is protect government corruption.

But we know political bias affected Strzok's decisions in both the Clinton email and Russia investigations. He can't even deny it. Besides himself, this also implicates the FBI for not removing him.
1
Ben Kerr-Wilson That's an easy question. Perter Strzok changed the letter Comey wrote at the conclusion of the Clinton email investigation. He reworded several sentences, changing the word "negligent" to "careless", because negligence carries criminal penalties. Seriously, you guys have been swimming is such a sea of bullshit, that it's like arguing with a child.

Naftul "No we don't, hence why this hearing is even happening." LOL The Democrats did everything they could to interrupt and prevent Strzok from having to answer any questions. The Democrats are even dishonest about lying. I am supposed to believe the Dems want this investigation when they're doing everything they can to obstruct it. This is where you end up by being a hack. You end up having to contradict your own bullshit.
1
Naftul What point are even trying to make? You asserted that the purpose of this hearing was to determine whether Strzok acted with bias in the FBI investigations. But then you defend him, and his democrat supporters, dodging all the questions. And only republicans wanted to ask him. The Dems are just doing theater, and failing miserably.
1
Phonixliv He was consulting the FBI's counsel, not his counsel. That's the problem the House Republicans are running into. The FBI and DOJ are not cooperating with their oversight. They're stonewalling on releasing documents, redacting information that implicates employees, and refusing to answer questions. The Democrats are supporting this behavior, because they have no principles.
1
Naftul Even CNN reports that Strzok was Subpoenaed by the House committee before heagreed to testify voluntarily. So nice try, but it was not voluntary. https://edition.cnn.com/2018/07/03/politics/peter-strzok-second-subpoena/index.html You guys are defensive and edgy now that your lies are under threat of exposure. It must really suck.

This was 30 minutes of the Democrats deflecting and trying to shut down the questioning. Hey dummies! You got yourselves into this by engaging in a politically motivated investigation.
