Did the mayor also start a fire? Portland is run by idiots. The agents will leave, when you stop vandalizing the federal courthouse.

@walterdaems57 Arresting people for vandalizing the courthouse, starting fires, and assaulting people is not "worse than the disease", it's necessary.

Vandalizing and starting fires at the courthouse is not peaceful.

@eskiltester3913 No they don't. The federal agents have jurisdiction in the U.S. I'm amazed at this new confederate thinking the Dems have, 160 years after the last time.

@Funknfritter Get a grip. Oregon is part of the U.S. They can't declare independence from the U.S. and then enjoy the security of being a part of the U.S. Are they going to assemble an army, print their own currency?
5
@eskiltester3913 Are you really that naive? You think the DHS can't arrest you if break federal law at the airport? Are you going to say "you can't arrest me for cocaine in my bags, because this isn't federal property"?
5
@eskiltester3913 "What Trump is doing is illegal." You're a funny guy. Read the Supremacy Clause to the Constitution. Not even Pelosi and other Dems are dumb enough to claim this is illegal.
5
@eskiltester3913 You wont quit. But here it is "This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding." The states cannot block the enforcement of federal law.

@eskiltester3913 "Every state is sovereign." You should hear yourself. The Civil War started when S. C. tried to expel the US Army from Fort Sumter. Perhaps read the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution.
4
@eskiltester3913 The president would "federalize the national guard", in any event where the State attempted to use it for an insurrection against the US government. Eisenhower did it. The Democrats' thinking is about a millimeter deep. All of a sudden you guys support a confederacy. A return to 1860, just because it supports the politics which are right in front of you. Try to have some principles.
2
@eskiltester3913 The president can federalize the National Guard to put down an insurrection.
1
@eskiltester3913 Dude. You do not know what you're talking about. Presidents can nationalize the Nat. Guard for a list of 10 years. Suppressing an insurrection is one of them.
1
@eskiltester3913 "The constitution is very clear that they need permission from local authorities." Name the clause of the Constitution. The Supremacy Clause states the opposite.
1
@eskiltester3913 That's fake analysis. It's not "educating yourself" to non-critically consume fake news talking points. Look up the Insurrection Act. Trump has both Constitutional and statutory authority to do this.
