  2. He could have avoided jail by admitting to his crime and apologizing. They probably would have sentenced him to pay restitution and a probationary period. They're even giving him the privilege to travel, so he can still work. Normally that don't do that.

  3.  @Amor1990  There's a very silly racial culture in American today. It's a religion similar to Catholicism, Robin Diangelo, Ibrahm Kendi, that's popular with progressives. Smollett thought he could cash in on it. In NYC all the hate crimes are black on Jewish, and black on Asian.

  5.  @danielpires8940  Depends whether its a Soros funded DA. Just recently someone was sentenced to house arrest for murdering someone, because he got his order wrong in a fast food place.

  6. @V KASH Good point. The mainstream media, and political class, believed, defended, and covered for this liar. The charges against him were originally dropped because of political pressure from Democrats.
