  2. I think a felony disqualifies one from federal employment. But just consider the idiocy in stealing another suitcase when you're waiting for your court date for the first theft.

  3. My comment got the timeline wrong. He stole the suitcase in Vegas in July and then stole the suitcase in Minneapolis in September. The delay was because the Vegas case went cold, until he was charged in the MN case. But he got the job in June. So he committed these crimes after he got the 178k/year job, which he lost because of these thefts. The guy's not even qualified to hold a low wage retail job.
