  1. Trump, like everyone else, has the First Amendment right to redress the government for grievances. In other words, it is unconstitutional to criminalize attempting the overturn an election. That's why these cases will all be overturned on appeal. You can get a jury of msnbc viewers who believe all the BS and get convictions, but this will all die on appeal.

  2. Well...we can return in 2 years. I can guarantee, that these cases will die in the higher courts. All four of these case attempt to criminalize constitutionally protected rights.

  3. They don't need a defense for the scheme. They're "alternative electors". JFK used them for the Hawaii vote in 1960. If a state vote is overturned in a court, the winner needs electors to vote.

  5.  @perfectperson214  Are you dense? What Trump is charged with are not crimes. Attempting to overturn an election through political and legal process is a constitutional right. The Alvin Bragg prosecution doesn't even name an underlying crime, violating the 6th Amendment. The Documents case ignores the president's plenary power to declassify, and ignores the Pres. Records Act. Biden accepted bribes, which is a crime. But the Democrats don't care, because this is all just politicization of the justice system.
