  1. They got cold feet over "Medicare for all". The political repercussions from destroying the private health insurance sector and doubling everyone's taxes would be enormous.

  2.  @Hydratank  That's an unrealistic simplistic reading of the polls. If you start asking people if they want the other aspects of the policy, ie elimination of private health insurance, large tax increases, being forced onto public health insurance when you have a good HMO, then the polls drop dramatically. You'd never be able to enact such a blanket policy on 50 states, some of which even resented the Obama Care. A reasonable proposal, would be a two tiered system like U.K.

  3.  @Hydratank  There are already laws allowing you to keep your employer health insurance when you lose your job (HIPPA). Most HMO's are non-profit. The Sanders crowd confuse a lot of issues. "Universal healthcare" isn't the same thing as government run health insurance. Most countries have both private and public insurance.

  4. It's rather pretentious to complain about Fox News when CNN just outright lies, all the time. They went after Elon Musk for not delivering ventilators he promised. But he showed the receipts from the deliveries. And they still didn't care, no retraction, not even a correction.
