  1. This is too impractical to ever happen. The orbits of the mirrors would have to be adjusted periodically. The influence of other bodies, solar wind, etc will effect the orbits. The paradox is that any society advanced enough to build such a structure, would have no need to. Such a civilization would already have access to massive amounts of power and materials.
