  2. That's because the only impeachments in recent history have been just petty political revenge, i.e. not serious. One of the Trump impeachments was done over Trump bringing up the Biden family corruption to Zalinski, and Trump was 100% right. Biden is on camera bragging about getting the prosecutor fired who was investigating his son's company. It's already been set up this way.   3. This was entirely caused by the Democrats. They decided to fight this election with lawfare rather than honest campaigning.. That forced the SCUTUS to put what was already a legal norm in an explicit ruling. Without this ruling, each election cycle would be a series of prosecutions, from the incumbent against the challenger and then later retribution.
