Here CNN's original reportering on the topic. https://edition.cnn.com/2017/01/05/politics/fbi-russia-hacking-dnc-crowdstrike/index.html The Politifact piece does admit that the DNC didn't allow the FBI to examine their server. They just spin it: "handed over a copy of the server". And support that spin with quotes from Comey and DNC officials.
