  1. One confusion about this is that you tax income and not wealth in general. The 1% doesn't have much more, if even that, total income than the 10%. In all the countries where college is paid for you have to pass exams with the highest tier scores to get tracked to the university. Only 10% of Europeans go to college.

It's funny that she thinks a rich person has their money either stuffed in their mattress or in a treasure chest buried on an island. That's not how it works. If you have wealth, then it is either in the bank or in investments. In that former it is used by other people when they take out loans, in the latter it's used by corporations as capital.
