It's amazing how little the left knows about the law. It's not illegal for the president to fire the FBI director or any other cabinet member. The Steele Dossier sourse, Igor Danchenko, was indicted for lying to the FBI. The whole Russiagate scandal was based on lies.

@jimohara It's the president's power to fire the FBI director. And it's wasn't "obstruction of justice". It's only obstruction of justice if it's interfering with a criminal court proceedings. Comey is a liar and a crook. He was leaking ongoing investigations to the press in order to get a special prosecutor appointed. The FBI is a police agency. It shouldn't be meddling in politics, and intimidating politicians and private citizens.
2
@brianmcnevin1419 Um...no. People who watch David Packman and other leftwing outlets have no idea. Hiring and firing cabinet members is a presidential power. Presidents can also fire and hire federal prosecutors. It's like saying it was a crime for Pelosi to draft a federal budget. Also the FBI is not the DOJ. The DOJ conducts criminal cases, the FBI is a police agency. The president can also fire the Attorney Gen., head of the DOJ.
2
@jimohara Comey was a hold over from the Obama administration. The media fosters this ignorance. On NBC, CNN they would irresponsibly throw around the term "obstruction of justice". But when the host asked the legal expert "So Trump broke the law?" The lawyer would respond with "Well. um uhhh ahh ahh ahh, if Trump fires Comey and also murders someone then it's a crime."
2
@davidsalo8397 The investigation is long ago confirmed to be bullshit. The authors of the Steele Dossier are getting indicted for lying to the FBI. The only people Mueller indicted for activities related election interference were some Russian spammer/internet trolls. And he had to dismiss the case. Mueller had no case. He didn't think they were going show up for court.
2
@Shell m Nobody was convicted of anything relevant to the Russiagate conspiracy theory. They were all process crimes. Mueller indicted a bunch of Russian internet spammers/trolls. But they had to drop the case. He never made a case, and was caught off guard when they showed up in court. There are indictments for the source of the Steele Dossier Igor, Danchenko, for lying to the FBI.
2
@Shell m And the people caught up in this manufactured fake scandal are just the people that the Presidential pardon was established for. The process crimes are just set ups. Papadapolous wouldn't have been convicted if he didn't let the FBI agents in. Operatives were trying to snare him at the time. They were searching him at the border looking for any reason to arrest him. One agent posed as a politician who gave him 10k hoping he wouldn't report it so they could arrest him. And how the people who manufactured this are facing the law. Igor Danchenko was indicted. They guy who supplied Steele with the made up dossier.
2
I can't believe they're ignorant enough to resurrect this BS.
2
The sources of the Steele Dossier are even being indicted for lying to the FBI. Even the FBI establishment (who always hated Trump) have been forced to admit that this scandal was based on lies. It's deplorable that Packman and others are promoting 4 year old fake news.
2
@jameslinmd It's frustrating being subjected to this stupidity. The Hill even published an article "Trump admits to firing Comey". WTF? That was never hidden. That's like saying he "admits to appointing 3 Supreme Court justices". The mass retardation is creepy.
2
This is BS on so many levels. 1) The president can fire the FBI director. It's his constitutional power. 2) You can't obstruct justice when there is no criminal charge, and no court proceeding. 3) Russiagate was based on false sources. The source of the Steele Dossier has been indicted. The scanda was based on Russian disinformation promoted by Clinton people bitter about 2016.
1
@lorraineclark4413 These aren't crimes. Firing the FBI director is the president's constitutional power. I've wondered why the unhinged left does this. The president can fire the FBI director. Calling it a "crime" doesn't make it a crime.
1
@lexuses3942 So you just bring up complete irrelevancies after gorging yourself on out right lies. Packman's show is pretty sad.
1
@lexuses3942 Not true. It is NOT illegal for the President to fire the FBI director. "30000 plus time Trump lied" LOL You've been keeping up with your fake news. Russiagate wasn't real, along with the hundreds of fake stories guys like Packman tell.
1
@lexuses3942 OK. Name a lie and we'll unpack it. You're referring to the lying press. Russiagate was a lie, and now the originators of the Steele Dossier have been indicted for lying to the FBI. I don't think you're aware of actual situation.
1
@lexuses3942 But directly, this video is based on a blatant lie. Trump legally fired Comey. Dave Packman lies to his audience all the time. A President cannot "admit to the crime of firing a cabinet member", because THAT IS NOT A CRIME. This is even basic, elementary school level politics.
1
@lexuses3942 If you're referring to Trump, he called the media reporting that the pandemic was his fault was a hoax. More people died in 2021 under Biden than died under Trump in 2020. And this is with the vax in 2021. Biden owes him a big apology.
1
@lexuses3942 That's the joke. You call Trump a liar, while you repeat one corporate media lie after another. Because the end justifies the means. A president wouldn't create a commission to fast track a vaxine if they didn't think the disease was real. And at the time the Democrats, Biden, Harris, etc. said they wouldn't take it. Then they got their vax and pulled off a higher death rate than in 2020.
1
This is 4 year old fake news. Trump was legally entitled to fire Comey. Comey was his employee. This is even more ignorant, now that the Dossier promoters are getting indicted, finally, for lying to the FBI.
1
They promoters of this fake scandal, Russiagate, are being held accountable, to some degree. There have been a couple of indictments. It was a very smart move to fire this clown, Comey.
1
@kittyvaughn76 "liberals" seem to have forgotten that that you can't just make up laws. Firing Comey wasn't illegal. Bringing up fake charges will embarrass a prosecutor.
1
@roxannehale1386 There's been a couple indictments over the Steele Dossier, for lying to the FBI. The Steele Dossier was Russian disinformation. Clinton operatives gave it to the FBI. Lying to the FBI is a crime. "Trump has just admitted why he fired Comey" Huh? Of course Trump fired Comey. Comey was fired in 2017. Only the president can fire a cabinet member working for the president.
1
He's not the least bit afraid. This is fake. Firing Comey was completely legal.
1
Firing the FBI director is not a crime. And Trump didn't "admit to it". He never hid the fact that he fired Comey. There's something mentally wrong with you guys.
1
LOL For "colluding" with the Russians? If you weren't paying attention for the last few years that was a fake conspiracy theory. People have been indicted for pushing this nonsense to the FBI.
1
@justindoren8022 Well, there was never a criminal case against Trump. This is the TDS crowd pulling fake media crimes out of their asses.
1
Because none of this is a crime. Packman is either a fool, or he's playing dumb.
