Acosta does not own the microphone. She requested he hand it back and he refused.

The White House did the right thing here; pulling Jim Acosta's press pass. He's consistently rude, consistently breaks the rules of decorum, asks more than two questions, and hogs the time from other reporters. Here you even see him strong arming the White House employee in the maroon dress.

@Darris Pope "She didn't "request" the microphone." That was already said. Trump said "Hand her the microphone." Acosta refused. So he got what was coming to him, a ban. There are at least 60 reporters in the room. At most 30 get a chance to ask 2 questions. And Acosta was hogging their time.

What meltdown? Jim Acosta grandstanded, like he always does when given the mic, and he was scolded for being rude.

The Resistance "WTF? Are we still in t-rump's third grade classroom." We are with Jim Acosta. He's always talking out of term, yelling when it's not his time to speak, arguing with the spokes person, even when it's the President. His two questions were up. But Acosta wouldn't give up the mic and kept yapping. The White House did the right thing. CNN can send a reporter who's going to behave with some professionalism. It's not one incident. Acosta does this all the time. I teach at a university. If someone's cell phone goes off, it's not a big deal. But if someone's cell phone goes off in every class; I'd have them ejected.

This was just the final straw with Acosta. There are several incidents where Acosta is in the back yelling out while someone is trying to ask a question. The WH did every one a favor by banning him.

@Darris Pope She's the moderator, you lunatic. Acosta asked his two questions, Trump told him to give up the microphone. So the intern tried to take it back. But Acosta strong armed her, so he could yap on. He was rude to the WH employee, pushing her arm away, and he was hogging the time from other reporters. Good riddance!

@Darris Pope Why would the intern say anything to Acosta? After he asked his two questions, Acosta asked a third, Trump answered it, then Trump told him to sit down and return the microphone. The president already told him to sit down; that's when the intern went to retrieve the microphone. Acosta is rude, overbearing, and speaks out of turn and doesn't follow the protocol. He got exactly what he deserves.
