  2. This is actually expected. Now they're putting their hopes in the Alvin Bragg case which is even based on a more ridiculous legal theory. Good lawyers wouldn't jeopardize their careers on such constitutionally unsound ridiculous and high profile cases. I also heard that Garland had to recruit Jack Smith because no federal prosecutors would prosecute those cases. His cases are also likely to fall apart from multiple legal challenges, including a motion to dismiss him, because his appointment wasn't confirmed by the senate as the law requires.

  3. This case was never going to be "devastating". The goal is to get a conviction from a jury of all Democrats, then use it against Trump in the general election. The conviction would undoubtably be overturned in higher courts. It's a constitutional right to challenge an election. And the state of GA stonewalled on legally mandated audits (for obvious reasons.)
