  1. All these urban Dem politicians want to govern the city on the honor system. The problem is that it's not Japan, American cities are full of people with no civic pride or honor. I live in Istanbul, and people here, rich and poor, voluntarily pay the bus and metro fair. You could easily fair evade; here's no gate or turnstile in the entrance where you put the fair card.
