  9. A lot of aerodynamics is counter intuitive. Some drag cars have the scoop with a smaller opening and large "plenum" over the carb. I think they operate on the principle that the air slows down after the opening widens and increases density in the process. One might think a larger opening would catch more air.

  15. It looks like you're better off finding dumpy looking 68 with a straight under body, i.e. hasn't been wrecked, and transfer the good sheet metal and body parts from this one. I did that when I was a kid and my 69 Mustang got wrecked. I also made sever thousand by selling the extra parts; I had parts for 1.5 cars.
