  1. I was a missileer who served for six years in the Air Force and I pulled 300+ alerts underground in these LCCs. The career field desperately needs more operators who can pull alert and spread out the burden of spending time in the field. When I left the Air Force in 2022 we were just being asked to spend WAY TOO MUCH time underground by our leadership because there wasn't enough of us to fully staff all the capsules.
