  1. Hey Gabriel! If you are an institutional investor and can get the IPO price offered, you'll probably make good money. But if you are a retail investor and buy it on opening day, your investment will probably lose money after a year. So you might as well just wait a year to buy it if it is something you are looking to invest in (rather than just trade).

  5. I do not see myself every investing in an IPO in its first 13 months. There are just too many investors with lock up agreements who want to dump their stock and I'd rather just wait 13 months and buy the stock at a discount.

  9. I think the financial sector depends on people thinking IPOs are a good deal... but that math isn't actually there. I don't see myself every buying a stock prior to after it's first year going public.
