  1.  @narmortein537  The US conquered Afghanistan in a month, occupied it for 20 years. We can argue whether this was fruitless and pointless, but "failed to conquer" is inaccurate. Also, the notion that a 5000 year old civilization are somehow more wise or experienced vs a 300 year old country, which has lead the world in every facet for the last 100 years is the thing thats naive. The aboriginals in Australia are a 50000 year old civilization, so what?
