  4.  @saladbruh2625  Any country has the right to join or form military and/or economic alliances. The smaller countries near Russia feel threatened also and decided that the only way to secure their security is to join NATO. NATO has never attacked Russia in its entire history so I guess you could argue that is proof that its not a threat. Those smaller countries know very well that if given the chance, and if the benefits outweigh the costs, Russia will invade them. Why wouldn't they?
