Democracy is an ongoing thing not a once of, for example the current UK Election.
13
Independent Scotland would join the 7x larger European Market than the UK. How can removing 31 barriers to trade be worse?
11
We don't.
10
More ambitious than keeping powers with-held from Scotland.
8
Seem a bit confused Pauli
7
Your point?
6
Scotland voted for a referendum in 2021 Scottish Election. Holyrood already has a mandate for a referendum.
6
@tisFrancesfault Scottish Government can't have any deficit as its not a currency issuer. Last years consolidated accounts showed a budget underspend of just over 500 million. How can it have a budget deficit whilst also having a budget underspend?
5
@24hourjukebox55 Which EU Member State is not an Independent State?
5
SNP have done wonders for Scotland.
5
@Pauli-tm2zt Confusing UK Parliament for England's Parliament
5
@Krytern Everyone in Scotland's democracy will be more empowered.
5
@colinsmith1288 In Labour run Wales They just increased University Tuition fees to £9250 a year. In SNP run Scotland, its the 16th year of free Uni Tuition to Scots. Wales Council Tax Average is £600 a year or £50 a month Higher than Scotland's average. Just 5,785 new housing completions in in Wales in 2023. 3,6 times less than the 20,992 completions in Scotland. Employment Rate in Wales is 4,2% Lower than in Scotland. In 2023 International Trade in Goods Wales had a trade deficit. Scotland had a trade surplus.
4
@tisFrancesfault Scotland runs a trade surplus in goods. England runs one of the worlds largest trade deficits in goods.
4
@ianscott3180 Is the Union voluntary?
4
@Krytern The Right to Free Elections in the UK's Own Human Rights Act.
4
I want Decolonisation aka Independence.
4
@tisFrancesfault Its ''irrelevant'' that ScotGov does not have the means to do deficit spending?
3
@24hourjukebox55 That'l be news to all of them
3
@tisFrancesfault Its very small at 5%. Scotland is the UK's 6th largest trade partner for Imports into the UK. Ahead of Spain 7th, Italy 8th, Ireland 9th and Belgium 10th.
3
@susanjones6202 Survation poll the other day gave SNP 35 seats which is a majority of Scotland's seats.
3
@JohnM... You take yours, you seem to be angry about something
3
@colinsmith1288 No they dont. No it doesn't that's ridiculous. Scotland hasn't voted Torie majority since 1955. Labour isn't proposing to join the EU, The SNP are. The social entitlements will be taken away as Labour is a Unionist party and can't be seen to be providing better social services in one part of the Union. Drug policy is a Reserved Westminster Responsibility.
2
@tisFrancesfault Only if joining the Eurozone.
2
@Krytern Yes i have, have you looked at the numbers?
2
@tisFrancesfault What about indirect? you forgot to mention indirect
2
@ianscott3180 Ask what of Scotland's 5th and 4th largest trade destination for goods?
2
@Krytern You think a countries only income is production........you go on to mention production.
2
@Krytern A population share of the UK State Assets and Liabilities is reasonable. Scotland's population is nothing? there are around 80 nations with smaller populations. No it doesn't.
2
@blackislepeastoo Democracy is an ongoing thing not a one of, for example the current election.
2
What don't you like?
2
@ianscott3180 Survation poll of 4000 people on the 18th said SNP will win the election in Scotland with 35 seats. That is a loss of 8 seats from the 43 currently and still win the election.
2
@alansbinnie1446 Can you tell me 1 new power Labour pledged to Devolve to Scotland's Parliament? Or are those that voted Labour going to have gained nothing voting Labour?
2
What damage?
2
@colinsmith1288 Scottish Labour isn't even a registered political party.
1
@colinsmith1288 You crack on and vote to Lower the standard of living here. Lose the protections from Westminster that SNP provides. Re-introduction of uni tuition fees. Lower employment rate. Higher council tax. Less housing completions. Neglect as you'l have handed power outwith Scotland and be forgotten about like last time.
1
@ianscott3180 Ask France & Germany what ?
1
Yes we do
1
Due a share of the UK's Assets if taking a share of the UK's Debt.
1
Easily proven that they do, by the policies only available in Scotland and not available in RUK.
1
@davidtoshack4451 Notice you didn't mention any of things Scots are protected from Westminster by the SNP.
1
@ianscott3180 The former health secretary that avoided strikes in Scotland's NHS by securing a pay rise for junior doctors? while they went on strike in Torie run England and Labour run Wales?
1
@ianscott3180 Record number of Junior Doctors took up posts last year according to NHS Education for Scotland.
1
@blackislepeastoo I see Junior Doctors have went on strike Again in England, but Not in Scotland.
1
@alansbinnie1446 Contradictory comment
1
@alansbinnie1446 Says someone that caved in to be governed from another nation
1
@alansbinnie1446 Its a union not a country. British is a political ideology. Scottish is a nationality. You'l be wanting rid of every single gain made under the SNP then?
1
@alansbinnie1446 Can i remind you of how much the malicious prosecution against Rangers FC cost ?
1
@alansbinnie1446 The Union is not a nation.
1
How so?
1
@alansbinnie1446 Bad luck is over to you Labour will deliver nothing
1
Hadriens Wall is entirely within England. There is no English Government.
1
No they have improved Scotland.
1
@eveningstar3230 Easily proven
