@thepoormangunchannel2411 Hey I just searched Wikipedia and it states that all PM's have been "Republican" since 1972, I was born in 1973 so that's 50 years isn't it and never had a referendum, the will of the people can remove the Queen of Jamaica at any time but seems like your politicians are cowards. If you support a democratic republic in the true sense well you've had 50 years to vote on it but decided not to. In Australia we had a referendum on the matter in 1997 and I personally voted in favour but now I become a bit of a monarchist because I don't trust my politicians that much and can always change it at any point in time should the Queen of Australia actually do some bad thing rather than leaving us alone to govern ourselves.

It could , depends what type of Republic they choose, currently the head of state is the governor general representing the queen and the head of government is the prime minister just like all other commonwealth countries that still retain the Queen of Jamaica in this case to be the head of state. If a Republic is chosen along the lines of China, Russia, US, Venezuela etc. where the head of state is also the head of government and therefore no oversight the risk of dictatorship is far higher.

@thepoormangunchannel2411 I am Australian and our recognized head of state the governor general is the same as Jamaica unless you are telling me the Queen chooses them and can assure you that our government operates completely independently from the privy council in England which is just for England and or UK. Maybe you say hypothetically the Queen could veto a law, technically that's probably the case but it having happened probably exactly 0 times then you are free. I don't have much opinion on whether it's a good idea for Jamaica to change the head of state but have a strong opinion don't have a head of state that is also head of government. Don't know this PM but if that's his plan then stick with him not having absolute power and being answerable as head of government to the head of state, your governor general representing the queen of Jamaica.
