Australia less than 10% of the covid 19 deaths in Serbia on a per capita basis. Maybe it has something to do with our approach and one current approach is all non citizen entry to the country must be vaccinated, hospitals already struggling, we don't need to fill them up with unvaccinated foreigner. One rule for all.

Exactly and a precedent internally as well, where restrictions exist for unvaccinated people, can just claim the Novak rule.

The percentage of the world wide vaccination rate is completely irrelevant, no tennis star hasn't had access to a vaccine. So you think the Association of Tennis Professionals is wrong in it's decision, well good for you , go tell them.

Only Australian citizen can enter without being vaccinated, all foreigner except maybe permanent resident must be vaccinated or a genuine valid reason why they can't be vaccinated.

@marekpodlecki7094 You are missing the point, he lied on his entry declaration and is of bad character breaking Serbian law and not quarantining. If you are high profile the expectation and scrutiny is higher, sports professionals get banned within their own sports all the time for bad behaviour. If he was a normal person he would likely have not got caught breaking quarantine but media will check due to his profile. It's his own fault. Fair enough to criticize Australia for having a bit of a messy situation but that doesn't mean Novak is innocent, he isn't.

@marekpodlecki7094 You are wrong , the court can consider did he lie in his declarations and it's clear he did. If you lie in a declaration you can be subject to penalties including being deported if you are a foreigner, if you were Australian probably a fine or jail depending how serious. If you are of bad character you can be refused entry, Novak breaking quarantine in Serbia is of bad character, a judge would only consider if that assessment is reasonable and to what extent it's bad character as in is it enough. J-walking for example wouldn't be enough. It's in the hands of the judge or judges now, our opinions don't mean anything they are just opinions.

@marekpodlecki7094 One thing you might not realise is Australian citizens when crossing state borders when restrictions were in place (still in place in Western Australia for now) being refused entry, fines and in some cases prison time for what you refer to as making mistakes, yes mistakes are made if you will and those mistakes have consequences which a rich foreigner should be subject to. Normal people can't just go to court like Novak.

@marekpodlecki7094 There were mistakes made in communication but it's gone further than that now. Most Australians support our governments measures, 10s of thousands inconvenienced versus dead. That's the reality, Serbia which actually hasn't done bad by European standards has 10 times the deaths on a per capita basis to Australia. We are now open other than Western Australia to open soon and mask mandates inside buildings and some restrictions in some states for unvaccinated. There's no need to feel sorry for us, we have had one of the best outcomes in the world and vast majority of the country by number of jurisdictions never had lockdowns of any significance. Melbourne and Sydney being the exception. Anyway we will see what happens and if I was to bet I wouldn't be confident of my bet however think it's more likely Novak loses this one.

@marekpodlecki7094 Freedom to infect isn't a right, necessary restrictions exist to save life, you can't have liberty if you're dead can you.

@nicolascage8015 Counting body bags isn't that hard, we aren't talking about cases.

@nicolascage8015 No that's just being silly, had covid 19 as a part of the cause of death listed on the death certificate written by a doctor obviously.
1
@nicolascage8015 So you are saying doctors all around the world are putting out fraudulent death certificates, well I can't convince someone who believes that there's some massive conspiracy involving millions of doctors world wide. Why would they do this in such a coordinated manner, what are these doctors trying to achieve?
1
@nicolascage8015 Not everyone is right however that doesn't mean difference in approach by different countries can both be good. Sweden as a socialist country with a reasonable standard of health in the population(Tax above 50% of GDP my definition), can afford things other countries couldn't. If the US took the Swedish approach they probably even worse off than what has occurred.
