  1. Disagree on the education thing. According to Congress representative Crockett black ladies are the most educated segment of the US population.

  2. It's a difficult issue especially in the case of the US because of your unusual banking system with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Redlining should exist in a free market banking system. Banks shouldn't be forced to make loans in areas that are in decline. The US issue was that the government was redlining what amounted to handouts previously. In a way it's still being done with education being primarily funded at the local level instead of the state level meaning poor neighbourhoods have low quality schools.
