  3. Yeah but leaders in power can't speak out because Trump might punish us with higher tariffs. It's remarkable that Trump has unilateral power over this form of taxation. It should be changed so it has to go through congress because it gives the President too much power to just be mean to whoever he wants, even sending companies bankrupt at will if for example they are a major importer of something for their manufacturing plant and it can't be sourced inside the US.
