  1. Look up "Battle of Brisbane ", that's my home town. Since you haven't attacked or annoyed Australia directly yet you'll probably be ok in Australia now. I would watch myself if I was you and in Canada because unless you live close to the Canadian border they'll know your American by you accent and at the moment the Canadian sentiment is probably not so different to the Brisbane sentiment in 1942.
