  1. Michael is wrong on one thing. Purely based on Trump's record. The funders of Trump's scheme will be whoever buys US government bonds, most likely US billionaires and other countries. It's completely inconceivable that tanking the economy if he follows through on tariffs, then handouts to exporters affected and a corporate tax rate of 15% and increased unemployment that somehow the import taxes will balance the budget. The US government debt is over 125% of GDP and both Republicans and Democrats are going for broke with all their national socialist schemes to prop up big pharma, banks and agriculture as the most egregious cases. One day the chickens will come home to roost, major reserve currency being the USD won't offer indefinite immunity.
