  1. The number that citizens of former allies are looking at is Trump's approval rating. He has a 48% approval rating based on most recent polling. This means a slight minority of Americans support the isolationism and a world trade war which the US will definitely lose. 48% approval is a high approval rating, a low approval rating is less than 30%. Clearly we cannot trust the US when just under 50% of people want all international agreements torn up and the invasion or conquering of 6 countries. Sorry but for all intensive purposes half your country is mad.
