  1. An unknown amount crosses the US sea border. So basically Mexico and Canada can't stop it, it's a technical impossibility. It's just Trump's excuse which riles up his base. Always blame every problem on foreigners. It's the exact same thing China does.

  2. Actually if you pick the right companies to buy stocks in you will do very well. Lawlessness makes unfair trading practices including price gouging effectively legal. Investing in the US building something new is a bad idea. Also best to cash out any stock investments before Trump's term finishes because there might be blowback with a future government deciding to actually implement rule of law. I would note both political parties have been bad on industry policy for many years. The Democrats were terrible and Trump has upped the anti big time.
