@Faluzeer If Trump goes ahead with tariffs against the entire planet that could cause a lot of long term damage. When other suppliers make inroads into markets currently supplied by the US due to retaliatory tariffs. This can literally destroy industries with no possibility of recovery as they won't be able to just start up again and other countries won't trust the US. If I was a US investor in the stock market I would be looking very carefully at what I owned especially if they are exporters and importers because both will be affected.
