  1. It amazes me how little people know about tariffs. It won't just increase the cost of imported goods , it also pushes up the prices of domestic goods because every major business uses imported goods. A new store fit out for a Walmart is about to become more expensive because it's not believable that an entire store fit out doesn't use imported goods at all. Things like light fittings, cash registers, refrigeration systems and security systems will all have imported components if not be fully imported in some cases. Walmart needs to account for this and start recovering those costs now to ensure that they don't lose major money noting their profit margin is less than 3%.
