Don't insult 15 year olds, vast majority have the capability to understand if you see images coming out of Wuhan with hospitals overflowing and serious lockdown measures it's certainly a high risk situation that won't go away. The early errors in January and February were shared by his team including Fauci who said on February 26 that the US was doing well because of a good healthcare system and contact tracing. At that point in time the US had already completely failed on its initial response and the "travel ban" was absolutely useless because the virus got in and was already rampant in New York in particular at the end of February. So I actually don't consider Trump to be responsible up to February 26, it's the actions or failing to act after that and recover the situation which is the true failure. State governors have a lot of responsibility also allowing every single state to have significant infections.

  2.  Feng L  To this day no US state has put mandatory government supervised hotel quarantine in place for people entering their state. A mish mash of voluntary measures exist . This has nothing to do with the Federal government. Without virtually stopping the virus from entering you can never contain it.

  4. Trump has implied that it's all a political hoax being carried out by every nation that has contained the virus. He has stated that China can't be trusted with there numbers and the only reason the US has a large number of confirmed cases is because of testing. So Australia , South Korea, Taiwan , Thailand etc. have more cases. This is effectively what he implied. I can assure you countries in my region aren't faking the numbers . I expect Trump knows this but he is talking to his base who literally believe anything he says. If he doesn't know it , he is an imbecile.

He is erratic one day it's a global pandemic that he knew all about before the WHO declared it on another day he says it's like the flu and most people can just go to work it's not really a problem. If you took every quote and looked at them side by side you might think he is mentally ill. He isn't even if he lacks empathy, he just says whatever he thinks at the moment that will look good for him, so erratic not insane.
