His condition now is meaningless. Wait at least 10 days from him testing positive. Trump knows this too but he is just going to keep speaking positive and hope he doesn't become very ill which for his age and condition is probably a little under 50% chance. He is however receiving intensive care when an ordinary person wouldn't even be in hospital and this must help.

I think embarrassed given all the testing that goes on they were totally arrogant. They know nobody else has access to such resources but they still managed what would be considered a significant outbreak in many countries.

@Moris Blackborn As I said that's not unlikely in fact on the average of probability you are right as I said below 50% chance of needing hospitalization. Are you saying his chance of getting sick is lower than mere mortals of the same age?

@Moris Blackborn the 80% number is overall and seems about right it's not for a person of Trump's age, which seems to be somewhere between a third and half likely hood of happening. I am not on any side I am Australian and we chose and carried out an effective containment policy regarding the virus, so our countries are in a completely different position. Mitigation will continue to mean ongoing lockdown lite in your country changing from state to state. Australia has a hard border closure but far less restrictions internally other than Victoria which is probably a month away from elimination of the virus.

@Moris Blackborn You have no idea do you. The number of imported cases into Queensland Australia a state of 5,000,000 is about 60% higher than Taiwan. The number of imported cases into Australia is greater than Korea by a little bit. Australia detected 15 cases at the same time the US detected 15 cases around 20 February so it can only be one of 2 things an absolute failure by the US to detect cases at that point in time or the US actually started out with the same number of imported cases, I know which one my money is on. Every state is an island in both the US and Australia because the states run the response, in the US it was decided by all governor's that there would be no more than a voluntary quarantine system, which Australian authorities realised early on will never work. So you can keep your belief that Australian s are some sort of superhuman but I can assure you we aren't and are just as vulnerable to the virus as any US citizen. Australia , US and Canada all have about the same urbanisation rates which decides how hard a containment policy will be.
