  4. We shall see. Do you believe that a police officer should never chase a suspect? Do you also believe that firing a deadly weapon , the taser as defined by the attorney general, towards the police officer, the police officer should not respond? We shall see how the case goes.

  5.  @gutgolf74  I am Australian , however this is not about race many black and white people are on both sides of this argument. I didn't state whether I think he is guilty or not and that's for a court to decide in the end. I have my personal opinion on the matter but that is not a legal one. Unless you are a lawyer who has studied the particular charges in the state of Georgia you only have a personal opinion also.

  6. My impression is that people believe that the police should be able to chase a criminal and if fired upon be able to fire back. A taser is a deadly weapon according to the attorney general involved.

  7. Audio from the bodycam will let us know in time I expect. I am guessing the officer or suspect said something around that time.

  8. Different laws in every state. The one that amazed me is 1 to 20 years for putting foot on shoulder. Possible 20 years for that is ridiculous. But depending on sentencing guidelines maybe could be as low as 1 year non custodial sentence of probation if the judge decided so. This and the kick are not really disputable but the extenuating circumstances should determine the possible sentence.
